BzzAgent Product Review: Crest Be Toothpaste

Since the dawn of toothpaste, mint has been confined to slight variations like spearmint or peppermint. All that time, this reigning flavor of freshness was dreaming bigger, bolder and more delicious pairing. Oh, the places mint could take us if only we'd let it be free! Crest® Be has done just that!

So recently I had the pleasure of joining the latest Bzz Campaign which was for Crest Be Adventurous Toothpaste. 

Per the information on BzzAgent I would be receiving three different flavors: Mint Chocolate Trek, Vanilla Mint Spark and Lime Spearmint Zest. Now I don't know about you but when I first heard the name of the flavors I well. . . felt a bit icky. It sounded like they would be sending me candy-like hygiene items to try and well I wasn't too happy about that, especially right now that my toddler has gotten the hang of brushing her teeth.  

So my BzzKit finally arrived, and indeed it had three sample sized tubes of toothpaste.

The following is my thoughts and experience with all three toothpaste after trying them all out. 

• Lime Spearmint Zest- Not bad as far as the flavor goes. Felt candy-like. My problem with this though is that when I brush, I expect my mouth to feel clean and well, fresh? This flavor of toothpaste does not do that. I did not feel clean and refreshed after using this, if anything I felt the need to go brush my teeth which defeats the purpose of this product, no? I think this was something that might have sounded good as an idea but as an actual item, nope. Not worth buying for me. My Husband tried it as well and he ended up rinsing it out, he definitely did not like it. 

• Chocolate Mint Trek- I love chocolate, and I love chocolate mint. So when I was getting ready to try this flavor I figured 'Hey I bet this one will be better than yesterday's!' Again, nope. Not at all. If you give this to your kid as a way to incite them to brush up you might find someone who'll like this, but as an adult nope nope nope. Nothing quite like the feeling that I'm smearing a chocolate bar across my teeth. The flavor is ok, I mean they did an ok job at recreating it as a toothpaste but it's just not for me.

• Vanilla Mint Spark- The mellowest of the three. The vanilla comes in first followed by a faint taste of mint. I might consider this one the best of the three. It doesn't mean I'll be stockpiling it anytime soon, but as far as these three go it's good to know I at least liked one.

So what's my final verdict? 

Stick to your normal toothpaste. That's what I'll be doing. Good on Crest for trying something new, but sometimes not every idea will be a winner.

Review for Garnier BB Cream

I recently received a bottle of Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream to try for my personal use. I was thrilled, for one I've never heard of BB Cream and from what I read online, this cream would greatly help the appearance of my facial skin. I've mentioned before the troubles of my skin. Oily, large pores, uneven skin tone due to psoriasis. Living out here where I do, I live in harsh hot dry weather which makes wearing make-up and foundations uncomfortable especially under the noon soon which is unforgiving and makes you break a sweat in no time. From everything I read online it seemed promising, or so I thought.

When I first tried to use it I was alarmed by how runny the liquid was. Almost watery. The shade I ordered was the Deep shade so I was positive it would fit my skin just fine.

Nope.

After getting over how runny and liquid the product was I finally applied it on myself was alarmed by the fact that the shade didn't match my skin tone. I was very disappointed then.


I put it away, deciding it wasn't the product for me, but after talking with a few friends of mine from a book club I decided to wear it again and give it a second chance, I mean the worst that could happen was me having to remove the BB cream.


It was a success! I don't know what I did different but my ladies were complementing my face and noticed how smooth my face looked. Luckily I had brought along the BB cream so a few of them were able to try it for themselves and they loved it ! Of course they also noticed how runny the cream was but in the end we chalked it up to the heat was making it runny.


So would I recommend Garnier's BB Cream? Yes I would, but I warn you that some people complained about the shades not blending with their skin tone properly. I am one of those. Although I was able to make it work for me I'm still sad it didn't match me properly.

My first Influencer post.

I'm a little nervous right now, so bare with me.

I recently signed up with a website called Influenster and it seems pretty cool. A bit confusing but if you're on BzzAgent you'll find it to be a bit familiar. In short, it's also a product testing/reviewing website. I'm still getting the hang of it but it seems easy enough. :)

Anywho, I received my first batch of products from Influenster, my Holiday VoxBox. It's a package of assorted products that I get to try and later put in my two cents. The products I received are:

I have to say I'm quite excited to try my goodies! The Goody® brush even caught my husband's attention! Thank you Influenster for the opportunity to try these new products!

Now as of today, I did try out the Quaker® Real Medley Oatmeal, and although I thought it to be a tad too sweet for me, my daughter loved it! So I am considering buying it for her!

Yesterday my sample package from Mom Ambassador came in the mail yaaay!!

It was delivered via UPS so at first I was unsure what the heck it was. Alex brought it when he came home from work.

It's awesome. It came with 2 different type of tote bags, a refrigerator magnet, two spearmint flavored organic chapsticks and a stack of free product vouchers.

24 to be exact :D

I'm happy I was selected for this program because quite honestly the holiday season is coming up and I love happy fruit drinks during that time.

The vouchers are for R.W. Knudsen Celebratory Beverages. They come in a variety of flavors including Apple,  Organic Pear,  Kosher Concord Grape, Cranberry, Cherry, Strawberry, Blueberry and Organic Apple! 

Mmm I'm dying to try the cherry and apple flavored drinks!!
