BzzAgent Product Review: Crest Be Toothpaste

NOBODY PUTS CREST®  BE IN THE CORNER

Since the dawn of toothpaste, mint has been confined to slight variations like spearmint or peppermint. All that time, this reigning flavor of freshness was dreaming bigger, bolder and more delicious pairing. Oh, the places mint could take us if only we'd let it be free! Crest® Be has done just that!

So recently I had the pleasure of joining the latest Bzz Campaign which was for Crest Be Adventurous Toothpaste.

Per the information on BzzAgent I would be receiving three different flavors: Mint Chocolate Trek, Vanilla Mint Spark and Lime Spearmint Zest. Now I don't know about you but when I first heard the name of the flavors I well. . . felt a bit icky. It sounded like they would be sending me candy-like hygiene items to try and well I wasn't too happy about that, especially right now that my toddler has gotten the hang of brushing her teeth.

So my BzzKit finally arrived, and indeed it had three sample sized tubes of toothpaste.

The following is my thoughts and experience with all three toothpaste after trying them all out.

  • Lime Spearmint Zest- Not bad as far as the flavor goes. Felt candy-like. My problem with this though is that when I brush, I expect my mouth to feel clean and well, fresh? This flavor of toothpaste does not do that. I did not feel clean and refreshed after using this, if anything I felt the need to go brush my teeth which defeats the purpose of this product, no? I think this was something that might have sounded good as an idea but as an actual item, nope. Not worth buying for me. My Husband tried it as well and he ended up rinsing it out, he definitely did not like it.
  • Chocolate Mint Trek- I love chocolate, and I love chocolate mint. So when I was getting ready to try this flavor I figured 'Hey I bet this one will be better than yesterday's!' Again, nope. Not at all. If you give this to your kid as a way to incite them to brush up you might find someone who'll like this, but as an adult nope nope nope. Nothing quite like the feeling that I'm smearing a chocolate bar across my teeth. The flavor is ok, I mean they did an ok job at recreating it as a toothpaste but it's just not for me.
  • Vanilla Mint Spark- The mellowest of the three. The vanilla comes in first followed by a faint taste of mint. I might consider this one the best of the three. It doesn't mean I'll be stockpiling it anytime soon, but as far as these three go it's good to know I at least liked one.

So what's my final verdict?

Stick to your normal toothpaste. That's what I'll be doing. Good on Crest for trying something new, but sometimes not every idea will be a winner.

BzzAgent Review: Children's Claritin

My daughter suffers from seasonal alergies so imagine my surprise and relief when I found out that I'd have an opportunity to test Children's Claritin in Grape flavoring.

When I first offered it to her she was a bit iffy because of the medicine smell but quickly overcame that problem. Taste wise, she had no complaints and was very cooperative with me!

Now, the medicine does  provide quick relief, an estimated 15mins before she had complete relief.  Children's Claritin does not however,  last 24 hours, and being a 24 hour medication she can't take another dose if she really needs to.

That was my only problem with this medicine. The longest it lasted for her was 5-6 hours maybe? Not bad I guess, but when someone advertises 24hrs you kind of assume it's safe to expect a full day of relief, but whatever.

Heya!

Sorry for running off again! Rei has been keeping me busy lately, but I thought I'd stop by to say I live!!

We'll talk again soon!

I live!

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile I've been really occupied with Rei. She finally got a hang of using the toilet and letting us know she needs to go. I'm just happy she didn't put up a fight to leave her diapers lol.

Also, she finally said 'Daddy' though it's cute I don't like it she uses it more to get Alex to do her bidding -_-

Evil kid she is.

Right now I'm waiting for a VoxBox, a BzzKit and a package from Mom Ambassador. The BzzKit is for Dr. Scholl's for her, the Vox Box is Something Blue and from Mom Ambassador, I'm sampling the O Organics Salads. I'm going to be busy once they all come in the mail. :)

Father's Day is almost here, I already know what I'm giving Chewy. I was able to get a Winston Shaving Kit from Harry's, a photo card from Treat.com and Skyrim: Legendary Edition. I'm kinda proud of myself, the only thing I paid for was half of Skyrim! Everything else was free or paid with Prepaid Visas I've gathered. I'm going to make him some tri-tip that day, can't wait!

Review for Garnier BB Cream

I recently received a bottle of Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream to try for my personal use. I was thrilled, for one I've never heard of BB Cream and from what I read online, this cream would greatly help the appearance of my facial skin. I've mentioned before the troubles of my skin. Oily, large pores, uneven skin tone due to psoriasis. Living out here where I do, I live in harsh hot dry weather which makes wearing make-up and foundations uncomfortable especially under the noon soon which is unforgiving and makes you break a sweat in no time. From everything I read online it seemed promising, or so I thought.

When I first tried to use it I was alarmed by how runny the liquid was. Almost watery. The shade I ordered was the Deep shade so I was positive it would fit my skin just fine.

Nope.

After getting over how runny and liquid the product was I finally applied it on myself was alarmed by the fact that the shade didn't match my skin tone. I was very disappointed then.

I put it away, deciding it wasn't the product for me, but after talking with a few friends of mine from a book club I decided to wear it again and give it a second chance, I mean the worst that could happen was me having to remove the BB cream.

It was a success! I don't know what I did different but my ladies were complementing my face and noticed how smooth my face looked. Luckily I had brought along the BB cream so a few of them were able to try it for themselves and they loved it ! Of course they also noticed how runny the cream was but in the end we chalked it up to the heat was making it runny.

So would I recommend Garnier's BB Cream? Yes I would, but I warn you that some people complained about the shades not blending with their skin tone properly. I am one of those. Although I was able to make it work for me I'm still sad it didn't match me properly.

*As always, I received this product from BzzAgaent*

My review for GARNIER FRUCTIS HYDRA RECHARGE

The new Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge line includes a Shampoo, Conditioner and 1-Minute Moisture Treatment that leave hair weightlessly soft while hydrating for silky, smooth hair. The shampoo contains encapsulated beads of goji berry, passion fruit and kiwi super fruits to replenish moisture without weighing it down.

I was excited as much as I was skeptical when I read about this Garnier product. A shampoo that promised weightless-ness for two days? That's quite the promise, isn't it? Well I'm here to fill you in on the results. Do these products actually make my hair as awesome as they promised? Will the goji berry scent make my hair smell weird or funky? Are you dying to find out? I know I was!

As soon as my husband brought my package into our living room I grinned because I knew what awaited me. Aa soon as I opened tge box I went to take a shower and pamper my hair with Garnier awesomeness. So, what was the result? It. Was. Magic. From the moment you begin to lather in the shampoo you feel the difference in your hair and scalp. My hair instantly because silky and soft. And by the time I used the hair serum and conditioner, my hair had a watery consistency if that makes any sense. It was just so SOFT. Once dried and styled my hair looked pretty awesome. Almost like the girl in their ad. Best part about this is that yes, my hair silky weightless-ness really did last two days! The only hair product I used to style my hair was a waterbased hair spray so, your results may vary.

So, would I recommend you try Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge? You bet your butt I would! Though make sure you buy all three products, the shampoo, conditioner and hair serum! Everyone deserves to have beautiful looking hair and the best part is that you wouldn't be breaking your piggy bank to achieve it!

Schick Hydro Silk Review!

The Schick Hydro Silk razor is designed to go beyond a close shave - it actually cares for your skin! Each cartridge is filled with water-activated moisturizing serum that is infused with marine extracts and shea butter to hydrate for up to two hours after shaving! The 5 Curve-Sensing blades move independently from each other to deliver a smooth shave and blade guards to protect the skin from irritation. Plus, it has a contoured oval cartridge to allow for a closer shave around hard-to-reach places and an ergonomic, soft touch handle with rubber grips to provide ultimate control while shaving. Now I admit, I have always been the kind of girl who would rather save a few bucks than to buy one of these razors. My line of thinking has always been, "A razor is a razor, right? No need for me to spend those extra couple of bucks on a name brand when the dollar store sells a 12pk for 99 cents." Boy, was I wrong! Immediately while using it , you can FEEL the difference. It left my legs, smooth, soft and looking great! The five blades work with you to give you the closest shave possible without cutting you or leaving little nicks. My legs felt great! Maybe it's just me, but after shaving the first time with the Schick Hydro Silk razor, my first order of business was to put on a skirt and show off my legs. Now despite the greatness of this product I do have one complaint: the price of the refill cartridges. I went to my local Kmart to see just how much it would cost me. They were in the 15.00 range! My husband laughed at me because he said I looked like I'd seen a ghost! Don't let this deter you from trying such a great product for.yourself though! Wal-Mart has them for cheaper AND you can easily score coupons online if the price of the cartridges is too high for you. Now would I recommend this razor to anyone? Oh absolutely! Such a great, comfortable shave cannot be bought at a bargain price. This is one of those rare products were I say "Go for it! It's so worth it after you shave! " *As always, the Schick Hydro Silk was provided by BzzAgent*

Yeah!

I finished playing DmC! Yeeeeeaaaah!!!!

I'm very, very happy with this game! Especially with the route they took with Vergil. Makes me feel like everything is right with the world again lol.

Finishing the game makes me want to do a little fan fiction, so yay for that! :D Gotta bring back Wydow, it's been awhile.

Oh yeah, going off topic here I was picked for another Bzzcampaign so Huzzah for that too! Man, been having some good luck lately. Which, I'm not complaining about, just thought I'd mention it.

BzzAgent Post: Covergirl Blast Flipstick Review

This is my review for the BzzAgent Covergirl Blastflipstick Campaign.

Okay so when I first started hearing about this campaign I admit I was a tad nervous. I've mentioned before that because of my psoriasis I am very skeptical about what kind of make-up I try if I even bother to wear any. I Googled around for a bit and found no complaints about this particular brand so I decided to heck with it and accepted the opportunity to participate in this campaign.

Different Flipstick Shades
I received my Bzzkit not too long after and I have to say I was very impressed with the presentation of the package. It came with several coupons as well as three different shades of flipsticks which were: Vixen (pinkish peach and pinkish brown), Stunner (orange coral and metallic golden bronze) and Minx (light golden brown and metallic darker brown). I felt a like a little girl trying on these three different shades trying to find which would look good on me. At first sight I thought Minx would be a good choice for me , I was more than happy to try it and find out.

It quickly dawned on me that no, Minx was not the shade for me. The color didn't look right on me. So next was Stunner. After some tweaking around with the make-up and blending of the colors, I decided "OK this looks sorta fine on me!"  The orange-y color looked a tad odd though , I will say that but once you mess around with it the turn out is very nice. Made me feel a bit well, fancy . So after playing around it was time to try on the final shade, Vixen.

The name of it sounds awesome to me. Vixen. I imagine sexed up supermodels sporting this particular shade like it was an extension of their own being. Boy was I in for a bit of a let down. Maybe Hollywood is making me impressionable haha. So I messed around with this shade and like the first one, Minx, it was a bit of a disappointing experience. Or maybe I'm not too good at applying make-up on myself who knows.

I'm a darker shade of a girl and honestly the shades they sent me, though they are cool felt like they would greatly compliment someone of a lighter appearance. The whole metallic bit kinda stuck out to me and maybe because I'm not a glitter fan but after I removed said make-up I was annoyed that some glitter remained on lips. Hell on my cheeks in one occasion lol.

So all in all, I will and still and recommending this product to my friends and to some of the moms I know. It is fun to apply, tweak and overall mess around with them in an attempt of finding that perfect shade that would look awesome on me , but unfortunately it just didn't happen. I hated the subtle smell that the lipstick left on my lips. Did anyone else experience that? Even after I was done wearing them and had cleaned myself up, this light plastic-ish smell remained on me. It was a bit of a puzzling annoyance.

I did go out and wear these products during normal outings to try and test out how long I could last without having to do multiple touch-ups or  having to reapply . So far the longest was two hours. After two hours I found myself needing to touch up my lips so they could look nice again. I'm going to ask friends who also tried this product to see if I can compare notes, I want to know if anyone else thought that their lips smelled funny while wearing Covergirl's Blast Flipsticks.

Bzz bzz!

I joined a new BzzCampaign today!

Earlier this week I had joined the Afrin Stick up for yourself campaign and now today I joined the COVERGIRL BLASTFLIPSTICK campaign.

I'm actually quite happy to try this lipstick because like I've mentioned before, my psoriasis makes me super picky about anything I apply to myself.

So hopefully this makeup will be awesome. Just like my last campaign, expect a blog review sometime in the near future.

And hey, maybe even a picture xD

Sponsored: Unreal™ Candy

http://getunreal.com/

So, as part of my participation in the current BzzAgent campaign I will be doing a blog post :D

I admitt, when I first heard of this candy I was skeptical. I mean, a natural candy bar? My only thought was that perhaps these were sugar free and that was it.

The first thing I noticed was packaging, the bright, vibrant coloring of the logo against the black background really stands out.

Unreal currently has five different candies available. - UN8 (comparable to snickers)
 - UN5 (compareable to Milky Way
 - UN41 (compareable to regular M&M's)
- UN54 (compareable to Peanut M&M's)
 - UN 77 (compareable to Reese's)

I have to admit I was iffy about trying them lol, but I'm happy to say that they do not disappoint. They all taste just like their big brand counterparts, though I will say that the coloring will throw you off at first. Once you get past that though it's all good :D

My favorite UNREAL™ product though, would have to be the peanut butter cups. Those things were awesome! Most definitely my favorite out of all the others. It's so creamy inside tastes like really peanut butter, unlike Reese's cups which have a powdery consistency. So would I buy these again? Yup. Especially the peanut butter cups lol. Everything else was awesome too, but too sweet for me lol.
